Spring into Action Benefit Shoe Collection
Join Us for our first annual shoe collection drive from May 1 to May 30, 2016, to raise funds for sustainable livelihood and financial literacy.
Renewglobal will earn funds based on the number of pairs collected as Funds2Orgs will purchase all of the donated goods. Those dollars will benefit the organization’s regional FamiliesWork/Circle of 8 sustainable livelihood initiative.
Anyone can help by either donating gently worn, used or new shoes to participating faith-based, business, fraternal and civic groups with designated Spring into Action Shoe Collection boxes in Flagler, Volusia, Putnam and St. John counties in Florida. Or monetary donations are gladly accepted.
All donated shoes will then be redistributed throughout the Funds2Orgs network of microenterprise partners in 25 developing nations. Funds2Orgs helps impoverished people start, maintain and grow businesses in countries such as Haiti, Honduras and other nations in Central America and Africa.
Proceeds from the shoe sales are used to feed, clothe and house their families. One budding entrepreneur in Haiti even earned enough to send her son to law school.
"It’s a win-win for everyone,” added Gloria Moore, founder of Renewglobal. By donating shoes to the Spring into Action Shoe Drive Collection, the shoes will be given a second chance and make a difference in people’s lives.
Locally, the FamiliesWork/Circle of 8 sustainable livelihood initiative creates a pipeline for clients, community/economic development practitioners, academicians, faith-based supporters, corporate, and government collaborators to provide sustainable tools, resources and knowledge necessary to make a positive change in asset-limited communities and families that need it most.
All tax-exempt monetary donations made at www.renewhlobal8.org will support local participating FamilesWork360/Circles of 8 sites.
